Just before 8 Thursday night Wattsburg Fire Department was dispatched for a tanker roll over with fire and entrapment.  Before arrival Chief 171 requested Kuhl Hose and Greenfield for Tender's to the scene.   On arrival Chief 171 assisted crews with fire suppression while EMS crews attended to and transported the driver to Hamot Shock Trauma with serious injuries.

On arrival Chief 680 assumed command while Chief 171 continued to assist crews with fire suppression.  Several other departments were requested for equipment and manpower. The decision was made to let the tanker burn for environmental reasons.  Crews then used water and foam streams to contain spot fires around the tankers perimeter.  The tanker burned for several hours. 

Haz Mat members arrived on scene and worked as support and offer technical assistance to the fire department. 

Crews remained to secure the scene and assist both Haz Mat and PSP for several hours and returned before 11 pm.  The accident is under investigation by the Pennsylvania State Police.
