03/11/12 - Just after 3 Sunday afternoon Kuhl Hose was dispatched to Bliley Rd for a Wild Fire.  On arrival 681 reported a large wild fire approaching several structures.  680 assumed command and had 689 drop the 2 1/2" supply line and advance up a driveway to set up a perimeter and protect a residential structure..  Tender 686 arrived supplied 689.   685 set up to protect a separate structure.  Crews contained the 4 acre fire in about an 40 minutes.   Department 42 was requested for manpower to help contain the fire.  The fire was caused by careless outdoor burning.

Residents were urged to use extreme caution with outdoor burning on windy days and during dry conditions.  For more information on outdoor burning go to the PA DCNR website.
