12/26 - Just before 4:30 Perry Hiway was dispatched to Rt 97 Auto for a structure fire. Kuhl Hose was dispatched to assist with a Tender and the RIT team. On arrival 683 reported to command. Due to the small size of the building and a defensive operation part of the RIT was split to assist with opening up the front of the structure. Crews from Perry Hiway, Kearsarge, Belle Valley and Waterford used 2 1/2" lines to attack the fire and protect exposures. The fire was quickly knocked down. Crews were on the scene for about 2 hours. The fire cause is being investigated by Perry Hiway and the Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal.
