Just before 11:30 Kearsarge, Belle Valley, West Ridge, Kuhl Hose and Perry Hiway units were sent to 5300 block of Cherry St for a structure fire. Millcreek Police arrived on the scene and reported a fully involved 2 1/2 story wood frame residence. Kearsarge and Belle Valley arrived on the scene and made a quick blitz attack using deck gun operations. Crews then made interior attacks, contained the fire and protected the exposures. Crews were on the scene for several hours in an salvage and overhaul operation. The fire is under investigation by Millcreek Police Department.
