01/20 - Saturday afternoon a vehicle accident caused 5 injuries and sent two of the injured to Hamot Shock Trauma. Kuhl Hose and Brookside (Station 24) units were sent to the accident that was reported just before 4 p.m. Saturday at Kuhl Rd & Harborgreene Rd. A pick up truck struck a smaller auto in the driver side, causing intrusion into the front and rear doors. The pick up had moderate front end damage. The auto then struck a pole and an above ground telephone junction box.

All of the occupants were self extricated. The Drivers of both vehicles were transported to Hamot Shock Trauma, one with chest injuries, the other with multiple Trauma symptoms. The remainder of the injuries were minor and all refused transport after first aid treatment at the scene.

683 secured the vehicles and assisted with traffic control. The State Police are investigating the accident.
